Description
If you have recently attended a dog agility trial or Fast CAT event, chances are one of our timing systems was in use. And now, with totally re-designed light curtains, the same system can be used for either event. The new light curtains have
an optical range of 20 feet – far enough to easily reach across a typical Fast CAT course.
Features
- The timing system provides accurate, hands free, wireless timing. The timer automatically starts at zero when the start beam is broken and stops when the finish beam is crossed. The timer is then ready for the next dog with no reset required
between runs.
- The light curtain photo-sensors ensure the leading part of the dog is reliabily and accurately detected – even with variations in dog jumping and running styles.
- The new light curtains have an external antenna to provide greater radio range. The antenna can also be removed to allow connection of a long-range antenna if even more radio range is needed.
- The timing console operates 50-60 hours from standard AA batteries. The light curtains run about 30 hours from a 9v battery.
- Large spectator displays (scoreboards) are available to show the contestant's running and final time.
Agility-Specific Features
- Rule-specific support for AKC, CKC, USDAA, NADAC, ASCA and AAC venues.
- The timer provides features to support Standard, JWW, and FAST classes as well as gaming classes like Gamblers and Snooker.
- Through your sound system, the timer can sound tones/buzzers for games, speak "go" when the course is ready, and speak the table count with an accurate cadence.
- The optional wireless handswitch can be used to control the table count (which the timer automatically speaks through your sound system) and can also
be used to manually start or stop the timer.
- The timer can provide a walk-through count down and show the count down on the optional spectator display. At expiration of the count down, a tone is sounded over the user's sound system. After the count down, a "ring clear" count up timer
can automatically start.
